More than 60 arrests were made Monday in East St. Louis as police from several law enforcement agencies participated in a violent crime suppression detail in East St. Louis.
The Illinois State Police joined officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, East St. Louis Police, Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois and St. Clair County Sheriff's Department.
The following arrests were made: 34 outstanding warrants; 21 possession of cannabis; nine firearm violations; one home invasion; one armed violence and aggravated battery with a firearm; eight possession or delivery of cocaine; and two alcohol offenses.
In addition, 12 firearms were seized, 38 grams of crack cocaine was seized and one stolen vehicle was recovered.
