On December 8, 2009, five suspects conspired to commit a residential robbery in a
gate-guarded, private community located in Newport Coast. Shortly after committing the violent takeover robbery, three of the five suspects were taken into custody by the Newport Beach Police Department. The follow up investigation led to the identity of suspects Ronnie Morrissette and Darrin Mucker. Newport Beach Police Detectives were able to secure $1 million dollar arrest warrants for their arrests. Both suspects were considered to be armed and dangerous.

Couple attacked, shot fired as they arrive home east of Belleville

A couple in their 50s were returning home about midnight Saturday when they were attacked and robbed in their driveway near Belleville, according to investigators with the St. Clair County sheriff's department.

 

The wife was hurt by a man who tried to take her purse and dragged her down the driveway. The husband had a gun held to his head by one robber while the other fired a shot.

 

St. Clair County Sheriff's Capt. Steve Johnson said the robbery and attack was around midnight Saturday in the 1100 block of Five Forks Drive, which is an unincorporated portion of Belleville's east end. Police have not released the couple's names.

THE BLACK MALES WERE DRIVING AN OLDER MODEL CHEVY IMPALA WHITE IN COLOR. THE IMPALA HAD ROUND TAILLIGHTS WITH BLACK TINTED WINDOWS AND APPEARD TO BE LOWERD WITH SMALL RIMS AND TIRES.

Police look for three men accused in home invasion near Cahokia

Police are looking for three armed men who were involved in a home invasion in unincorporated Cahokia last week.

According to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department police report, three armed men broke into an apartment at 2900 Camp Jackson Road around 1:30 a.m. Aug. 15 and demanded money from the two women who were there.

The two women were sleeping on the couch in the living room of the apartment when three men wearing ski masks broke into the apartment. The women's four children -- ages 2, 4, 6, and 9 -- were sleeping on the floor in the living room when the three men broke in, according to the police report.

Deputies wants help finding Cahokia suspect in attempted murder

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man police want to question about an attempted murder.

Larry D. "Lil Larry" Perkins, 25, of 15 Laura Lee Drive in unincorporated Cahokia, was being sought in connection with the shooting Monday of a 33-year-old man in the chest. A deputy also was threatened with a gun.

Perkins is described as being about 5-foot-4 and weighing 140 pounds. He was last seen running from officers near the corner of Judith and Amelia Drive near Cahokia around 1 a.m. Monday.
